A little about me.
I am a South African, and British. And very proud of it.
Following years working in the Travel Industry in South Africa, my family re-located to London, a city I had travelled to many times before. An enduring romantic view of the English Countryside, all things Austen, Grand houses and cobbled street villages - the history and culture of London herself, inspired me to become a London Tour Guide. Over the past five years, I have been working with the lovely Emma Parker at Coutours, taking guided walking tours, making friends and making memories.
But there is more …
It’s about sharing my passion, my love for all things London and England. Great hotels, restaurant recommendations, exhibitions. Quirky little places, romantic and sometimes scary stories. What would this magnificent place be if not for a few Kings and Queens, beggars and blaggards, actors and artisans? To be enchanted, enthralled, enveloped in the ancient, the modern, the every eclectic style. Churches tucked into Skyscrapers, food stalls in famous film locations, open parks and open hearts. Christmas like no other, Chelsea love, a bit of Wimbledon on the side.
Visit stately homes, ethereal gardens and meander through Jane Austen’s world. Shakespeare’s world, or perhaps Dickens, or Sherlock’s or Harry Potters or ….
Not a day goes by that I am not surprised, educated and proud of what I do. Each client is different and thus I create a bespoke itineraries to suit their individual needs.
If I gush a little too much, it is only that I am never but surprised, curious and love everything about my life and work here in London.
I would love to show you soon.
Love, Karen
